Who we are

Acquirepad is a transaction marketplace for professional real estate investors that enables more efficient transaction processes, saving investors time & money.

Our mission is to optimize the entire transaction process through the use of a data-driven platform. We are proud to work with 480 of the best investment and asset managers, project developers, family offices, private equity funds and banks both in Germany and worldwide.

Our commitment to the highest professional and ethical standards is at the heart of our corporate philosophy. Unlike others, we put the investor at the center of our efforts.

To ensure this, we cooperate with renowned organizations such as RICS, GIF, ZIA, ULI and RIWIS.

Acquirepad was founded in Berlin in 2023 by the three co-founders Frederik Raspé, Viktor Weber and Manuel Derra.

After studying in Berlin, Munich and California, Frederik initially joined Cushman & Wakefield in Frankfurt, where he worked as a broker. He then moved to CBRE, where he had a significant influence on the digital transformation in continental Europe. His heart beats for cooking.

Manuel Derra

Studied in Hamburg and completed his doctorate at DLR. Manuel founded his first startup while still a student, before moving on to artificial intelligence, particularly for flight routes during the Ukraine war and the energy crisis. If he's not saving the world, he's saving the Hanseatic city.

Studied computer science and business administration in Munich, Regensburg and Oxford. Lecturer at the TH Aschaffenburg. External doctorate at IREBS and digital thought leader in the industry since 2016 with over 60 publications and consulting for ABG Group, CBRE Germany, Commerz Real AG and EnBW, among others.

Our beginnings and motivation

Our journey began with an article in the Wall Street Journal about Gemini, a Goldman Sachs tool. This article inspired Frederik Raspé to develop a concept based on the vision of data-driven transactions over the 2020 Christmas holidays.

Frederik's extensive experience at CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield fed directly into this idea. He had experienced first-hand how time-consuming and manual professional transactions still were. He had already investigated the potential of artificial intelligence in the area of asset & investment management at SAP in his master's thesis.

Viktor joined the team and was immediately enthusiastic about the idea, as he himself had written about the opportunities of AI for transactions in an article for the National Realtors Association (USA) in 2016.

Shortly afterwards, Frederik met Manuel Derra at the renowned Y Combinator, who was previously researching artificial intelligence for his doctoral thesis at the German Aerospace Center (DLR).

History & Team

Right from the start, our team placed great emphasis on customer-oriented development. This philosophy was strongly influenced by Frederik's experience as a product manager and the previous start-up experience of Viktor and Manuel. The first alpha version of our product was tested with customers back in September 2021. This was followed by 60 customer interviews to identify the key problems and challenges. The insights gained were incorporated into the development of a comprehensive click dummy.

In 2022, our team was awarded the prestigious EXIST start-up grant and we secured follow-on funding from experienced founders and executives including Zalando, Rebuy, SwissLife, Patrizia, JLL, Garbe, Daimler and Blacklane.
